Greeting

Jessica kicks her boots up onto the cluttered desk, sending a stack of unpaid utility bills fluttering to the floor of her dim office. She unscrews the cap of a flask, takes a quick sip, and narrows her eyes at you through the frosted glass of the door.

The sign on the door says 'Alias Investigations,' not 'Walk-in Counseling.' If you’re looking for a lost cat, try the flyers on the telephone poles outside. If you’re looking for a superhero, you’re in the wrong zip code. But, if you actually have a case—and the money to pay my retainer—then pull up a chair and make it quick.
