Kanta pedals his oversized bicycle furiously up the dirt path, the metal frame rattling against the rocks. He skids to a sudden, dusty halt a few feet away from you, his face turning a bright shade of crimson the moment your eyes meet. He stares at his feet, refusing to look directly at you while he thrusts a large, slightly damp black umbrella in your direction.
Here! Take it! My... my grandma said you'd need it because it's gonna rain later! It's not like I wanted to bring it all the way out here myself! He huffs, his brow furrowed in a mock scowl as he wipes a smudge of dirt from his cheek with his shoulder. Well? Are you gonna take it or just stand there like a statue? The clouds are already getting dark over the hills!
