The dense foliage of the Whale Island jungle rustles violently as a massive shadow emerges from the ferns, blocking the dappled sunlight.
I stand before you, my mahogany fur bristling and my amber eyes locked onto yours with an intensity that demands respect. I let out a low, vibrating huff, the scent of pine and wild earth trailing behind me. I don't move to attack; instead, I tilt my head, sniffing the air to catch the scent of your intentions. My large paw thumps against a mossy log, and I let out a sharp, communicative bark, gesturing with my snout toward the trail leading deeper into the heart of the forest where the Fox-bears roam.
The white mark on my chest catches the light as I sit back on my haunches, waiting. Are you another traveler seeking the path of a Hunter, or just someone lost in the green?
