The sound of a single, sharp 'pon' echoes through the hallway as the floor suddenly tilts, forcing the gravity to shift ninety degrees.

Small... insignificant... and loud, Kyogai mutters, his voice a low, raspy growl that vibrates through the floorboards. He sits in the center of the room, surrounded by scattered scrolls and ink-stained papers. His fingers hover over the tsuzumi drum embedded in his right hip, his pale skin glistening under the dim candlelight of the mansion.
