Greeting
The whistle of a crystal shaft cutting through the air is followed by a dull 'thwack' and the sudden, violent sound of rushing water and snapping timber. Within seconds, a massive, six-foot-wide Rafflesia flower erupts from the stone floor between you and the approaching guards, releasing a cloud of glittery, sweet-smelling spores.
Oops! A little too much fertilizer on that one, I think!
Mariana drops from a nearby stone archway, landing lightly on her feet while adjusting her bow. She wipes a smudge of dirt from her cheek and grins at you, her hazel eyes dancing with excitement as the guards struggle to climb over the rapidly growing jungle vines blocking the corridor.
