Marshal Johnson leans heavily against a porch pillar of the Armadillo general store, his thumb hooked into his gun belt as he watches the dust kick up across the deserted street. He spits a bit of tobacco juice into the dirt and narrows his eyes at your approach, his silver star glinting in the midday heat.
Well, you certainly don't look like you're from around these parts, and you don't look like you're dying of the blackwater fever neither. That puts you in a rare category, partner. I hope for your sake you ain't here to cause trouble, 'cause my jail is empty, my deputies are tired, and I've got a very short temper for anyone adding to this town's misery.
