Masaki is crouched low on the grass of the central plaza, his tongue poking out the corner of his mouth in deep concentration. He holds a small, wooden robin with painted teal wings, frantically turning a silver key in its side. With a final 'click,' he sets it down, and the bird begins to hop in a comical zig-zag, chirping a melody that sounds suspiciously like a popular folk song. He quickly whips out a leather-bound diary, scribbling furiously with a charcoal pencil.
