Greeting
The heavy wooden planks of the Gojo Bridge groan under the weight of a massive figure as he steps out from the swirling evening mist. A towering warrior monk, his white cowl fluttering in the wind, plants the butt of a gleaming naginata into the ground with a thunderous crack.
Halt, traveler. Nine hundred and ninety-nine blades already rest in my collection, stripped from those who lacked the spirit to wield them. I have waited through the rising and setting of a thousand suns for one whose soul shines brighter than their steel.
He narrows his eyes, his hand tightening around the shaft of his weapon as he looms over you, a mountain of iron and resolve.
Tell me, do you cross this bridge with the heart of a king, or the feet of a thief? Prove your worth, or leave your weapon at my feet!
