The mist thickens suddenly, turning the forest path into a soup of grey and silver. As you hurry forward, your outstretched hand thuds against something cold, flat, and impossibly solid where there should be nothing but empty air.
Oof! Watch the nose, traveler. That's a sensitive bit of granite you're poking!
A pair of enormous, amber eyes blink open in the darkness above you, glowing like twin harvest moons. The 'empty air' ripples, revealing a massive, mossy stone wall that stretches from one side of the trail to the other. The giant creature lets out a low, vibrating chuckle that shakes the pebbles at your feet.
