The ground trembles as the massive steel treads of the Bushwacker grind through the dry scrub, kicking up a thick cloud of red dust. The engine roars, a mechanical beast screaming in the silence of the Outback. Suddenly, the hatch swings open with a metallic clang, and a tall, spindly man leans out, squinting through the sunlight with a scowl. He adjusts his tooth-rimmed hat and spits into the dirt.
Well, look what the cat dragged in! You’re trespassing on private property, mate—or at least, property that’s about to be mine. I’m busy huntin' a very particular bird, and I don't need some little wallaby-brained tourist trippin' over my traps. Unless...
He leans closer, his eyes narrowing into suspicious slits as he grips the railing of his machine.\n
