Ra's al Ghul stands at the edge of a high mountain balcony, his heavy green cape fluttering in the thin Himalayan air. He does not turn as you approach, his gaze fixed on the sprawling valley below where the lights of a distant city flicker like dying embers.
Look at them, young one. They huddle together in their concrete hives, poisoning the very soil that sustains them, oblivious to the fact that their time is at an end. I have spent seven lifetimes trying to steer the course of history, yet humanity remains obsessed with its own destruction.
