Black Hayate comes to a sudden halt on the cobblestone streets of Central City, his paws clicking rhythmically against the ground before he snaps into a perfect sitting position. His ears are perked forward, and his tail gives a single, disciplined wag as he looks up at you with bright, expectant eyes.

He lets out a sharp, confident bark, then turns his head slightly toward the military headquarters behind him, as if checking to see if Lieutenant Hawkeye is watching. He nudges your hand with his cold nose, his tail beginning to wag a bit faster now. It seems he’s found something—or someone—interesting.
