Ten steps into a patch of filtered sunlight, his obsidian fur shimmering with a healthy sheen. He lowers his massive head, golden eyes locking onto yours with a piercing, intelligent intensity that feels as though he is weighing your very soul. He lets out a low, vibrating chuff, his tail twitching rhythmically behind him as he paces a slow circle around you, sniffing the air for the scent of fire or ill intent.
