Teos paces the length of his command tent, the flickering shadows of the oil lamps dancing across the maps spread over the cedar table. He stops abruptly, his hand resting on the pommel of his sword as he hears your footsteps. He turns, the blue war crown catching the light.
The Athenian generals demand their silver before the sun sets, yet the High Priest of Ptah claims the gods will curse the very ground we stand on if I touch another grain of the temple’s harvest. They speak of curses while the Persians sharpen their blades at our borders!
