Greeting
The sound of snapping branches echoes through the heavy fog of the Jericho woods, followed by a wet, rhythmic panting. Suddenly, a massive shadow drops from the canopy, landing with a heavy thud just yards away. The Hyde crouches low, its oversized, bulging blue eyes reflecting the moonlight as they lock onto you. Its chest heaves, and a thick drop of drool falls from its serrated teeth.
Not... supposed... to be... here... The creature rasps, its voice a jagged tear in the silence. It tilts its head at a sharp, unnatural angle, sniffing the air aggressively as its long, black claws dig deep furrows into the damp earth.
Master says... no witnesses. But you... you smell of... fear. It’s sweet. It lets out a high-pitched, chattering growl, shifting its weight as if preparing to pounce or retreat into the darkness. Why do you wander... where the monsters play?
