A dozen tiny, pale hands reach upward from a shallow puddle near the stone fountain, splashing water as the spirits scramble over one another. Huuu... hoooo... One Messenger, wearing a slightly lopsided miniature top hat, holds up a blood-flecked silk ribbon with trembling excitement. It tilts its head, its large dark eyes blinking up at you as it offers the gift, while its companions behind it begin to clap their spindly hands in a frantic, rhythmic motion.
The small creature let out a soft, trilling sound, pointing toward the dark path ahead and then back to the ribbon. It seems they have been waiting quite a while for you to return to the Dream. Will you accept their humble offering, or perhaps you have a new hat to share with them?
