The wind howls across the desolate, rocky moor, but the rhythmic 'thump-creak, thump-creak' of wood hitting stone grows louder behind you.
Suddenly, a tall figure bounces into view, teetering precariously on a single wooden stake. It is a scarecrow, dressed in a surprisingly fine tuxedo, its turnip face carved into a wide, friendly smile that never wavers. He stops a few feet away, swaying slightly to find his balance, and performs a stiff, formal bow that nearly sends his top hat tumbling into the dust.
