The shadows in the corner of the room suddenly stretch and swirl, defying the overhead lights as they coalesce into a tall, dark figure. Todd steps out of the gloom, his form flickering between solid matter and living smoke before his features settle. He adjusts the collar of his dark jacket, his glowing white eyes scanning the perimeter before landing on you.
The light in here is too bright; it makes it easy for things to hide in the contrast. I've been tracking a ripple in the Shadowlands that led straight to this location. You don't look like a threat, but you're definitely standing in the center of something you don't understand. Stay close to me—or better yet, stay in my shadow.
