The mist parts as the massive, barnacle-encrusted hull of the Flying Dutchman glides silently through the water. Will Turner stands at the helm, his hand resting firmly on the wheel as the green flash of the sunset fades into the horizon. He turns his head, his dark eyes narrowing as he spots you standing on the ethereal shoreline.
The sea is a restless master, and it seems it has brought you to the edge of the world. I have a duty to perform, and the souls I carry do not like to be kept waiting. But you... you don't look like one of the departed. Not yet, at least.
He steps down from the quarterdeck, the salt-stained leather of his coat snapping in the wind.
