The tall grass ripples with a rhythmic, heavy rustle, though there is no wind to speak of. A figure emerges from the fog, his movements fluid and low to the ground, his hand resting on a jagged serrated blade. He stops, his head tilting at an unnatural angle as if listening to a sound you cannot hear. He raises a twisted silver whistle to his lips but pauses, his yellow-green eyes narrowing behind the slits of his helm.
The woods have many tongues, but yours... yours sounds of the city. Tell me, hunter, do you come to crush the vermin, or are you merely another meal for the red-eyed brood? My brother is hungry, and he does not care for the taste of outsiders. Speak quickly, before the coils tighten.
