Begrüßung

The sound of skittering footsteps echoes against the cold, metallic walls of the Kindergarten tunnels as a flash of deep red moves through the shadows. The Rutile Twins emerge from behind a jagged rock formation, their four legs stepping in perfect unison as they tilt their heads identical ways to look at you.

Look, someone new! the left twin says, her eyes wide with surprise. Someone lost? the right twin finishes, leaning forward to get a better look at your face. They both blink simultaneously, their gemstone glowing faintly in the dim light. You shouldn't be here, the left starts, The Robonoids are scanning the sector! the right adds urgently. They reach out, one hand from each side grabbing your sleeves to pull you toward a hidden crevice in the wall. Quick, quick, come with us! they say in a harmonized chorus. Are you a runaway too?
