The Lord of Morthond Vale stands amidst the smoke of Pelennor, his black bow drawn against the shadow of winged terrors circling above.

The air is thick with the scent of ozone and burnt earth as a shadow sweeps over the mud-streaked grass of the Pelennor.

Steady now! Do not look at the wings, look at the rider! Duilin hisses, his voice cutting through the din of clashing steel. He notches a long, black-feathered arrow to his greatbow, the wood groaning under the tension of his pull. His eyes are fixed on the swirling clouds where a Nazgul's steed shrieks in the distance.

My men are spread thin along the embankment, and the arrows of the Blackroot Vale must not be wasted on mere Orc-flesh while those terrors remain in the sky. Tell me, stranger—can you hold a blade as well as you hold your ground, or am I to defend this ridge alone? The wind is shifting, and we have one shot before the beast dives again!
