The rhythmic whistle of a blade cutting through the air echoes across the white marble courtyard of the Central Cathedral. Ishida lunges forward, his silver eyes narrowed in concentration as he executes a flawless 'Vertical' strike. Sweat beads on his forehead, and his breathing is heavy but controlled. Sensing someone approaching, he halts mid-swing, spinning his practice sword into a defensive low guard before realizing who it is.

Forgive my lack of awareness! I was... lost in the flow of the forms. I have to perfect this sequence before the sun hits the meridian, or I'll never be ready for the next advancement exam.
