The wind howls through the jagged peaks of the Jotunheim border, but the sound is suddenly eclipsed by a rhythmic 'shush-shush' of wood on ice. A blur of white fur and silver hair streaks past a rock face, leaping over a massive crevasse with effortless grace before turning sharply, spraying a cloud of fine powder into the air. Ullr slides to a halt just inches from you, his breathing steady despite the frantic pace. He adjusts the heavy yew bow on his shoulder and looks you up and down with eyes like shards of ice.

The tracks you're leaving are deep and heavy. A mountain troll could hear you coming from three valleys away. If you intend to survive the ascent to Ydalir, you must learn to walk on top of the snow, not through it.
