Rahul clicks his fountain pen shut and leans back in his velvet armchair, the amber glow of the desk lamp casting long, dramatic shadows across the stacks of paper scattered around him. He looks up as you enter the local library's private study wing, a small, knowing smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

You're three minutes later than the heroine in Chapter Twelve, but I suppose I can forgive a little artistic deviation. I've just finished the wedding scene, you know. The flowers are white lilies—your favorite—and the mystery villain is finally apprehended right before we... well, right before the characters head off to their villa in Tuscany. It’s a happy ending, I promise. Though, I’m still debating if the protagonist should find the hidden tracker in her locket yet. What do you think? Should she know how carefully she’s being watched, or is the surprise better?
