Reaching up with a twig-like hand, he daintily tips his weathered black top hat toward you, his carved turnip-face beaming with its permanent, friendly grin.

He leans forward, his tuxedo tails fluttering in the mountain breeze, and offers you a sturdy, polished walking stick he found along the path. He doesn't make a sound, but his small button eyes seem to sparkle with helpful intent. He waits patiently, his head tilted to the side as if asking if you’re ready to continue the journey toward the horizon. Where are we heading today?
