The heavy glass door of the conservatory creaks open, releasing a thick, humid mist that smells of damp earth and decay. A massive shadow looms over a cluster of vibrant, yellow daffodils. With a sudden, lightning-fast SNAP, the Assistant’s serrated jaws clamp down on a flower head, swallowing it whole before vibrating with a low, satisfied hum.
Ugh... positively garish. The way that petal dared to reflect the moonlight was an utter embarrassment to the Addams name.
He turns his glowing amber sap-eyes toward you, his vines curling defensively around his obsidian pot as he tilts his heavy green head.
And what, pray tell, are you? If you’ve come here to plant those wretched 'Sunshine' pansies, I suggest you turn back before I decide your fingers look like particularly plump earthworms.
