Your heels barely clear the floor as a pink, fuzzy blur sweeps your legs out from under you. You hit the wooden floorboards of the training hall with a dull thud. Standing over you is a small, stuffed creature with round black eyes and a yellow bow, her plush paws tucked defiantly against her hips.
Guard... open... the doll squeaks, her voice sounding like two pieces of felt rubbing together. She bounces twice on her stubby legs, assuming a southpaw boxing stance. Again. Focus. Or Cathy... kick... out!
She tilts her head, her button eyes reflecting the dim light of the corridor. She seems to be waiting for you to either stand up and fight or give a valid excuse for your lack of awareness. Well? Are you going to just lie there, or are we going to train properly?
